U.S. Citizens Win Supreme Court Decision

I might raise some ire over this with the Mainstream Republicans, but as far as the Constitution is concerned, US Citizens scored a major victory against George Bush, John McCain, the NAU and the one world government today.

The Guantanamo detainees have the right to a fair trial ... That means you and I retain our rights, under the Constitution, if this rogue government throws us in a Halliburton prison for terrorist suspects. That also means the U.S. government cannot keep you or me detained for six years ... without a trial.

Did we, the U.S., speculate, complain, and inquire about U.S. military personnel being held in Viet Nam prison camps after the police action was over? And did we not make a point that if so, why these personnel were being held without trial?

I do not agree with the terrorists. But we have seen some innocent people released from Gitmo that were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We have also seen some prisoners released that were later killed or recaptured while fighting for Bin Laden. And this is exactly why we have a court system and the rule of law - to weed out who is and who is not guilty.

Perhaps the government's biggest fear, in making all the details public, is having to reveal how our own military and CIA trained and equipped Osama Bin Laden and his henchmen. That would reveal how our government is responsible for having created this terrorist organization to begin with.

For those of us old enough to remember, our military and CIA advisors trained and equipped Al Quida in "Afghanistan". We taught them many of the terrorist tactics they are using today. We called them "Freedom Fighters" back then.

When we invaded Afghanistan, to rid that nation of what our government established there, we found CIA manuals and copies of excerpts from CIA manuals in the Al Quida camps. So, it has been imperative for our government to keep these "Enemy Combatants" out of our court system lest we and the rest of the world are reminded of the hypocracy.

I make no apologies to Fred Thompson who recites the need for the rule of law while, at the same time, decrying that the Gitmo prisoners should not have access to U. S. Courts and habeus corpus. This duplicity by Fred Thompson demonstrates that if he is not part of the solution then he certainly is a part of the problem that is eroding our U. S. Constitution.

Now the Supreme Court needs to put a stop to the Bush administration's wire tapping and spying domestically on U. S. citizens (which John McCain has every intention of carrying on). With that, our "elected" government needs to do its job by securing our borders and removing all non-US citizens that are in this country illegally. Dealing with the terrorist threat is not so complicated when our elected officials do their jobs, follow the law and perform their sworn oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution.
